ValueMate Studio v1.0.1 is here, and it is our largest update yet.
With this release, Studio includes the full UAD 2.6 specification and form set alongside our existing UAD 3.6 workflow. ValueMate Studio is now the only modern appraisal software solution that supports both, with AI, integrated data, and inspection tools in one workspace.
That is a major step in our mission to modernize appraisals. Appraisers can bring modern tools into the work they receive today while preparing for the assignments coming next.
We also shipped a major UI redesign, upgraded AI models, an Android app, and dozens of quality-of-life improvements. But the biggest change is what those tools now make possible across both report formats.
What appraisers told us at Valuation Expo
At Valuation Expo, we spent hours demonstrating Studio and talking with appraisers about their businesses. Many were excited by what they saw in our UAD 3.6 workflow. Their next question was practical: what happens to the rest of my work?
For an appraiser handling a mix of assignments, adopting new software means more than learning a new interface. If that software only covers part of the business, the appraiser still needs another system for everything else. That means maintaining separate workflows, learning different tools, and deciding where each assignment belongs before the work even begins.
Appraisers described the same problem from both directions. Legacy tools offered the familiar 2.6 forms they needed, but completing 3.6 reports could be slow and frustrating. Newer platforms offered a fresh approach to 3.6, but often lacked the full 2.6 form set required to handle their current assignments.
The message was clear: appraisers wanted a modern platform they could use across their business. Supporting both formats became a priority for this release.
The transition requires support for both
UAD 3.6 is changing how residential appraisal information is collected, organized, and delivered. Preparing for it matters. So does completing the assignments on your desk this week.
The transition is happening on different schedules across clients and loan programs. FHA has opened optional UAD 3.6 submissions while continuing to accept UAD 2.6, and its mandatory adoption date remains unannounced. See FHA's implementation guidance and the EAD portal's October 2 update. VA has not announced a UAD 3.6 transition timeline.
Even within the GSE transition, some lenders need more time. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have announced a policy exception allowing lenders that request it to continue submitting UAD 2.6 reports through May 19, 2027. Fannie Mae's UAD resource page explains the exception.
For appraisers, the practical requirement is straightforward: your software needs to support the format your client requires. A platform that handles both lets you prepare for the transition while continuing to serve clients who still need 2.6.
Full UAD 2.6 support, with the tools that make Studio different
Studio v1.0.1 brings the full UAD 2.6 specification into the same workspace appraisers already use for UAD 3.6. The familiar forms now have access to the same AI, data, and inspection features that have shaped our 3.6 experience.
That matters because the report format is only one part of the assignment. You still need to inspect the property, gather records, evaluate comparable sales, develop your analysis, and prepare a report you can stand behind. Those tasks benefit from better tools regardless of which UAD version the client requests.
In Studio, that includes:
- AI assistance: Tools that help fill report sections and prepare commentary for the appraiser to review.
- Integrated data: MLS, public records, and comparable searches available within the appraisal workflow.
- Connected inspections: Mobile capture that brings property observations and evidence into the workspace where the report is prepared.
For appraisers already using Studio for 3.6, this release extends those tools to their 2.6 work. For appraisers who have been waiting to adopt a modern platform, it removes a major obstacle: needing separate report-writing software for the assignments that still use the legacy standard.
The appraiser continues to own the analysis, adjustments, reconciliation, and final opinion of value. Our job is to reduce the repetitive work surrounding those decisions.
More improvements across Studio
Supporting both formats is the centerpiece of v1.0.1, but this release also improves the broader Studio experience.
A major UI redesign. We have redesigned Studio's interface as part of this release. Bringing both workflows together made this an especially important moment to revisit the workspace appraisers use every day.
Upgraded AI models. We have upgraded the models behind Studio's AI features. Those upgrades sit alongside the expanded report support, bringing our latest AI tools to both workflows.
ValueMate on Android. Our Android app is now available, bringing mobile inspection tools to more of the phones appraisers already use. You can read the Android announcement or download ValueMate on Google Play.
Dozens of quality-of-life improvements. Alongside the larger changes, we shipped improvements throughout the product. Everyday usability matters when you rely on a platform for every assignment.
A major step toward modernizing appraisals
Our mission has always been to make appraisal work more connected and efficient, giving appraisers more time for the expertise their clients depend on. That mission has to include the full range of work appraisers are doing.
Supporting 2.6 is part of that commitment. The benefits of modern software should be available on a familiar form just as they are on the redesigned report. An appraiser should be able to improve how they work now and carry those tools forward as client requirements change.
ValueMate Studio now brings both standards into one modern workspace. That gives individual appraisers and firms a practical path to adopting better tools across their assignments.
Thank you to everyone who met with us at Valuation Expo, asked detailed questions, and shared what was making their work harder. Those conversations directly shaped this release. We are excited to put the result in your hands and keep building from what you tell us next.
